One More Test

In my last post I spoke of how I have been feeling down lately and have lost confidence in myself. The question arises: Is God testing me?

I don’t know why exactly but I feel myself sliding backwards in my faith. Whether it is because I have been out of work for a few months now or something else I feel like I an heading back towards where I spent the last too many years.  More

A recent article on TownHall.com written by John Hawkins in which he outlines five signs that American society is degenerating. I agree with all five and can be all traced to one main cause.

I often write about the Progressive movement and how they are constantly undermining Christian beliefs. They want to be in charge, they don’t want God to be in charge, they don’t want a young person’s parents to be in charge, they want to control your thinking, your mores.

Here is a “Guide” put out by the International Planned Parenthood Federation for young people.

Page 21 is particularly informative although the whole thing is more proof that the progressives believe they know better than anyone. Last week after the election I wrote about why Barack Obama was reelected and mentioned it is because of the “What’s in it for me” and the “If it feels good, do it” philosophies. This is an example of that philosophy at work.

Evil and the Light

There are many people out there today, two days after the reelection of Barack Obama, who are wondering “What’s next?’ While this is true for many diverse groups, it is especially true for devout Catholics. We can argue over whether the “Five non-negotiables” are really negotiable, whether Mitt Romney being a Mormon hurt him with Catholics and on and on, but face it, we lost.

It’s the day after the election and a somewhat disappointing one at that. I have to question why is this? How could people be so ignorant as to re-elect the current president? But then I found the answer, or at least part of it.
