I haven’t quite figured this out yet, but every time I have a faith related question, the answer seems to pop up unexpectedly. Every night when I go to bed, after I do my nightly prayer and reading, I think about faith issues. Some time these questions are pretty deep, “Does God really exist?”, “Why does God let bad things happen?” and some aren’t quite so deep, like last night’s “How can I keep my faith up at work?” Some times the answers might come in a dream, in a random Bible passage, on a radio talk show or like today, in a blog post.

There is a great website I would recommend to everyone called “The Integrated Catholic Life“. This site deals with integrating issues of faith in your life, whether work or personal.

Randy Hain, the author of the post, lists six ideas for integrating your Catholic life at work. These include:

• Devote one hour to prayer daily
• Devote more time to the Eucharist
• Be a light for Christ
• Let love drive our actions
• Practice active stewardship
• Start with the end in mind

When you think about it these six steps aren’t all that difficult to do. I would say I do three of them religiously, if you’ll pardon the pun. I need to work on the other three.

But for someone who has been a Wayward Catholic for a long, long time, three out of six ain’t bad.
