I’m back and I bet you are wondering where I have been. About two years ago I felt that God wanted me to do something, I wasn’t sure what, but I knew there was something, I was being called. Then I figured it out, I was called to write.

Something told me I needed to start writing and pursuing that vocation. I developed a plan on what I need to do to reach that goal and am on my way. The first step in that plan is to generate some income from writing to put back into my writing, whether it is developing a website (yes I have an idea) or upgrading my computer. Sometimes you need to spend money to make money but first you need the money.  The end goal however is not to just make money. After I get established I will then be able to devote more time to writing without having to hold down another full time job. This will free me up for doing more charitable acts.

The last two weeks I have been involved in something called a “Writer’s Boot Camp” put on by a website called Guardian Express . I passed and will now be writing for them. I believe each of us has been given certain gifts by God and that when we discover them we must put them to good use. I believe writing is mine.

Last night I read this in C.S. Lewis’ “Mere Christianity“:

“He is the inventor, we are only the machine. He is the painter, we are only the picture.”

How true that is.
