I can’t make this stuff up. What’s wrong with this picture? We have two separate polls. One shows that 1/3 of Americans feel that animals should have the same rights as humans. Another poll shows that 47% of Americans consider themselves Pro-choice a.k.a unborn children aren’t humans and have no rights. So I guess that means my dog Buttons has more rights than that unborn baby in the belly of the woman down the street?
I won’t even get into the fact that if some kind of law were passed giving animals equal rights to humans how we could no longer eat them, have them as pets, tie them up, etc. After all, we can’t legally do that to humans. We couldn’t kill them to eat, but we can kill humans because we don’t want them.
Now before you get all crazy on me, remember how it was said that abortion, euthanasia or same-sex marriage would never be legal either.
Once again, we have let Satan take over our lives, turning things upside down. We should give animals more rights than unborn children. Should we treat animals badly? Should we abuse them? Of course not, but treating them humanely and giving them the same rights as humans are two different things.
We only need to read as far as Genesis to learn the order of things:
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.” 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.” 29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” – Genesis 1:26 – 30
I can only wonder what God is thinking when He looks down on us and sees such foolishness. I guess someday, maybe sooner than we think, we will find out.
