Every once in a while I will come across something that just strikes me in a certain way. Whether it is a passage from Scripture or a line from one of the thousand other things I seem to always be reading.

Today it is a line from the Book of Proverbs.
The justice of the honest makes their way straight,
but by their wickedness the wicked fall. – Proverbs 11.5 (NABRE)
We all know how Jesus tells us to follow the straight and narrow path to the gates of eternal life. Being honest makes that path a little easier to navigate. How does that old saying go “If you tell the truth you only need to remember it once when you tell a lie you have to remember it each time.”
So many people today don’t know how to be honest, whether it is in their business dealings, with their spouse or partner, or with themselves. They live just one lie after another. They forget what is real, what is true.
Some have never known the truth. They have never learned the truth. For too many generations God has been pushed aside and Satan has been allowed to spread his version of the truth. His version of the truth is nothing but lies.
If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free – John 8:32 – 33
It is up to us to spread the truth. It is up to us to disprove the lies of Satan and spread the Gospel of the Lord because
I am the Way and the Truth and the Light” – John 14:6
