Wouldn’t it be nice if we all just got along? There would be no war, no strife, no violence. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just pick up a book and have all the secrets we need to do this? We do.
It’s called the Bible and you can learn from it whether or not you believe in God, Jesus or even if the Bible is true or not. Look at Romans 12 for instance. This is one of those passages that even if you don’t believe in God, Jesus or even that the Bible was written through the inspiration of God, what Paul writes just makes sense.
Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. 10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. 11 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, – ESV Biblia.com
“Abhor evil”, is that such a bad ting to do? Of course in today’s world I wonder how many of us really know what evil is? In this world where there is so much “graying” of morality, where the lines between right and wrong are blurred, how can we define evil?
Dictionary.com defines devil as:

Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all – Romans 12:17
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. – Romans 12:21
