In my last post, I talked about the “Lost Books of the Bible“. I briefly mentioned that there were many theories regarding why these books were left out of the accepted Bible. Most of these theories seem to point out to a specific agenda of the early Christians to make the bible say what they want it to say. This may or may not be the case, but some of those same critics are doing the same thing today. Continue reading “Thou Shall Not Censure”
It’s been a few posts since I’ve written about politics on this blog, so it’s about time. I received a press release from the Family Research Council regarding their decision to not ship anything via UPS any longer. This is because of UPS’s decision to no longer fund the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) because they discriminate. Continue reading “Big Brown and the Boy Scouts”
I often write about the Progressive movement and how they are constantly undermining Christian beliefs. They want to be in charge, they don’t want God to be in charge, they don’t want a young person’s parents to be in charge, they want to control your thinking, your mores.
Here is a “Guide” put out by the International Planned Parenthood Federation for young people.

This is an example of that philosophy at work.
Satan is at work folks, we see it every day. The question is” Can we stop it?
In my last two posts I bemoaned the results of the presidential elections. My take on the results is that we have become a “What’s in it for me” culture and we vote accordingly, for whoever will give us more, for less.
There are many people out there today, two days after the reelection of Barack Obama, who are wondering “What’s next?’ While this is true for many diverse groups, it is especially true for devout Catholics. We can argue over whether the “Five non-negotiables” are really negotiable, whether Mitt Romney being a Mormon hurt him with Catholics and on and on, but face it, we lost.
The other day on my Facebook page, The Wayward Catholic, I posted a chart comparing Barack Obama’s views on issues as opposed to Catholicism’s views. There are thirteen items on the list. Reading it, you have to wonder how any Catholic would vote for him. Continue reading “Time For Some Hard Thinking”
Joe Biden claims he is a “practicing Catholic” and that his religion “defines who I am”. So does he keep practicing until he gets it right? Continue reading “Joe Biden: I’m Practicing”
